Because it was in our DNA. We were soulmates written in the stars, destined for eachother. I know it, you know it, fate knows it. But something happened that altered our paths, our timelines never having synced up, so we were left with this uneasy feeling, a brief moment of unanticipated disappointment. But not like a song that skipped a beat, or a missing frame of a movie, or a page in a book. No, what’s missing is the big bang of a universe, the potential genesis of what might have been. A new timeline, a different reality than we know. So we are left with a moment not worth remembering, or reminiscing over. This idea that we’ll never know we were made for eachother. What we’re left with is the moment we never met.
