Secondhand

She gave it up.  Cold turkey.  She knew that it would take a toll on her, on her body, and her mind.  But she stopped.  She quit for me as soon as she found out, with no hesitation.  But you, you’ve never quit, it was never worth the time or effort.  10 years later, she was gone.  Today, you still smoke that garbage, inhaling and exhaling, spreading your poison cloud.

I was her first priority, but I’ll always just be secondhand to you.
